We are currently recruiting for a Senior Improvement Professional to join our Business Excellence and Quality Management function. Reporting directly into the Head of BE & QM for Siemens Mobility UKI, the Senior Improvement Professional will be responsible for engaging, leading, and coaching others in the successful development, improvement and implementation of processes across Siemens Mobility.
The role will also support our business units to implement special projects sponsored by the board and will be responsible for the tactical implementation of business improvement initiatives by developing continuous improvement plans for stakeholders, monitoring the progress and measuring its success.
Please note that this role is site independent and there will be the requirement to travel across our UK sites supporting various projects.
You’ll make an impact by:
Deploying and supporting development of Lean strategy, standards, description of methods, processes. Analysing process maturity, identifying weak points, developing innovative solutions and tactically driving improvement plans, to include outputs from Maturity assessments. Forming relationships across all levels of the business, engaging employees and managers, coaching and mentoring in continuous improvement activities to develop a culture of continuous improvement. Leading implementation of improvement projects to drive greater alignment to HQ mandated practices and creates the costs and benefits case, driving implementation (including change management). Monitoring and tracking improvement and provide respective reporting to all stakeholders, to include benefits realisation. Supporting communities in the business unit through “doing” whilst actively sharing and developing best practices to deliver efficiencies e.g. FIT. Participating in necessary BE working groups / projects and facilitates meetings, workshops. Developing the lean toolkit of resources required to allow the business unit and trained resources to be self-sufficient. Actively driving the communication of Project activity to raise awareness and employee commitment. Supporting the project management teams on adherence to Project Management at Siemens and LoA.Your success will be grounded by:
A Lean or Six Sigma Black Belt qualification A bachelor’s degree or similar of relevant experience/field. Qualification/experience in project management. Strong facilitation skills including excellent listening skills and the ability to empathise with project. teams and workshop participants. Proven experience using Continuous Improvement tools and coaching. Ability to instigate and manage change. Strong Influencing and negotiating skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels. Excellent presentation, communication and problem-solving skills. Strong analytical thinking, organisational skills and a high level of initiative.It would also be beneficial to have:
