Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Hydraulic Modeling Engineer to lead complex hydraulic modeling projects, provide technical oversight, and contribute to project planning and delivery. This role requires advanced modeling expertise and the ability to guide projects from concept through implementation.

Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee advanced hydraulic and hydrologic modeling for complex projects.

· Build hydraulic models and perform verification of sewer networks; run integrated model development, support with the scoping and planning of projects including flow survey verification, and development of catchment scale strategic solutions for flooding and pollution risks.

· Scope hydraulic solutions to address network constraints to facilitate growth from single and multiple developments. Review solutions against long-term plans to ensure strategic alignment.

· Perform hydraulic and hydrologic calculations.

· Establish modeling approaches, assumptions, and methodologies.

· Prepare and deliver technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate modelling findings effectively using strong communication skills.

· Mentor and support other team members as part of their professional development and foster positive client relationships.

· Provide technical leadership and mentorship to mid-level and junior engineers.

· Act as a checker of hydraulic models, calculations and technical reports, to ensure quality team delivery, and compliance with modeling specifications. Support proposal development, scope definition, budgets, and schedules.

· Ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, best practices and client specifications.

· Contribute to innovation, process improvement, and technical excellence within the team.

· Promote a strong culture of quality, safety, and collaboration.

· Work autonomously within agreed budgets, schedules, and quality requirements.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in hydraulic modeling and analysis.

· Degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Engineering.

· Strong proficiency in hydraulic modeling and asset management software: InfoWorks ICM, InfoAsset.

· Knowledge of SewerGEMS, InfoWorks WS PRO, WaterGEMS, GIS software.
