Having in depth knowledge of Low & High side HVAC equipment like Chillers, Cooling Towers, Pumps, AHU, FCU, Ventilation fans, Pressurization fans, VAV, PAC etc.Inspecting HVAC systems and their components (e.g. air ducts, filters, etc.) to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs and recommend preventive maintenanceDeveloping and implementing a maintenance schedule for all HVAC equipmentCoordinating with team members and other professionals to ensure HVAC systems are installed and functioning efficientlyDesigning HVAC systems and their components, considering the specific needs of the client or projects.Ensuring compliance with system specifications, work safety regulations and quality control standardsManaging customer complaints and issues, and ensuring that appropriate steps are taken to resolve themTraining and supervising HVAC technicians to ensure they are competent and consistent in their job performanceAssist in developing and implementing strategies to drive business growth and improve operational efficiencyEnsure work meets industry standards and requirementsStaying updated on the latest trends and technological advancements in the HVAC industry, and adjusting current practices and procedures accordinglyDevelop & maintain relationships with customers by generating and presenting replacement bidsMaintain communication with vendors concerning warranty and equipment issuesMake sure parts are ordered in a timely fashion so deadlines can be metDevelop maintenance procedures and ensure implementationOversee installation, maintenance, and repairs of HVAC systemsCoordinate and schedule work activities and operationsConduct system tests and inspectionsMonitor HVAC systems and operations and ensure they are functioning optimallyProvide technical advice to team members and clientsOutstanding leadership and managerial skills to effectively manage a team of HVAC technicians, including scheduling, training, and performance monitoring.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, clients, and suppliers, and to resolve disputes or complaints.Ability to perform diagnostic tests on HVAC systems, interpret results, and implement appropriate solutions.Problem-solving skills to identify issues and come up with effective solutions quickly and efficiently.Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issuesPlan and oversee all repair and installation activitiesAllocate workload and prioritize work for faster executionMonitor expenses and control the budget for maintenanceKeep maintenance logs and report on daily activitiesReview invoices for accuracy dailyHandle customer concerns and resolve issues in a timely & professional mannerEnsure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations as related to building operations.Recommend and implement improvements for preventive maintenance programs on an on-going basis.Identify energy conservation projects and assist in the planning and implementation.Champion the continuous development, improvement, and training for maximum utilization of the energy management system.Develop and maintain effective building-specific maintenance and safety procedure manualsPractice proper work methods, techniques, and compliance with applicable standards and specifications; enforce safety regulations to ensure compliance in providing a safe environment for staff, contractors, visitors.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineeringMinimum ten years’ experience with knowledge of HVAC systems highly suggested but not mandatoryExperience in a managerial or leadership roleStrong communication, negotiation, & interpersonal skillsExcellent customer service & sales skillsKnowledge of common office applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, & OutlookAbility to manage technicians working in the fieldKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Communication – able to effectively communicate in a professional, diplomatic, empathetic, and tactful manner using preferred method and level as applicable to the job.
