Senior HVAC Engineer
**Whats the role** HVAC Engineer required for Installing, maintaining, operating and servicing all sorts of HVAC (https://www.qwikresume.com/resume-samples/hvac/) and refrigeration systems; creating heating, and cooling systems and their controls in a safe, efficient, and timely manner at technical and non-technical sites across the country, and calculating heating and cooling needs, interpreting and drafting plans, drafting new plans to design ductwork and piping systems; calculating ventilation requirements; determining budget cost and in accordance with industry and manufacturers standards and best practices to achieve availability and functionality at all times. Also immediately report and take corrective actions of anomalies and failures within the system. **What you'll do** 1. Responsible to install, maintain, operate, repair HVAC equipment, control panels and components, in a timely, safe, and efficient manner at all technical and non-technical sites across Jamaica. 2. Manage project timelines and budgets effectively. 3. Monitor alarms, gauges, and other instruments associated with plant operations and conduct periodic inspections and audits to determine ventilation and air-cooling requirements, to ensure appropriate system installation. 4. Perform quality checks to ensure systems are working efficiently and safely. 5. Finding and fixing faults in a timely manner. 6. Ensure scheduled maintenance of HVAC systems is completed on time and within budget. 7. Helping to find ways to reduce energy use. 8. Prepare equipment for maintenance and inspection (using shut down, lock out, and restart) procedures and maintain a daily log of operation, maintenance, and safety activities. 9. Collaborate with Operations Support and the management team in the preparation of quotes and raising of shopping carts. 10. Perform any other job-related duties as required. 11. Manage project timelines and budgets effectively. **Knowledge and Experience** 1. Ideally a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or related discipline. 2. Formal training in installation and maintenance of HVAC and Control Systems. 3. A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in a telecommunications or Industrial environment. 4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team 5. Strong organizational and decision-making skills. 6. Results oriented and flexible. 7. Must be able to travel and board away from home. 8. Must be able to work in harsh and unideal environment and do dirty work. 9. Must work well and participate in team-work related activities. 10.
