Senior Human Resources Manager
📍 Location: Onsite – San Luis Potosí, México
Primary Purpose
Lead Human Resources strategy and execution for manufacturing operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives, labor compliance, and a high-performance culture. Partner with Plant Management to maximize workforce engagement and results, overseeing all HR functions: talent acquisition, personnel administration, compensation and benefits, labor relations, performance management, succession planning, employee engagement, property security, and community relations.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with leadership to plan staffing, talent development, and succession to support the business plan.
Ensure compliance with Contrato Ley, labor laws, and company policies.
Lead labor relations and union negotiations to maintain sustainable, competitive operations.
Drive employee engagement and promote a culture of operational excellence and teamwork.
Oversee HR processes for recruitment, benefits, compensation, performance, and employee relations.
Ensure implementation of the plant’s Quality Management System, promoting process-based thinking, risk management, and continuous improvement.
Manage compliance with environmental policies, objectives, ISO 14001:2015, and related procedures.
Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Human Resources, Engineering, or Psychology; fluent Spanish and advanced English.
Preferred: Postgraduate or Master’s in Human Resources; business analysis and KPI management.
Experience
10+ years in HR generalist/talent management roles, preferably in a global company (500+ employees).
7–10 years in managerial HR roles within manufacturing.
7–10 years managing union environments and leading negotiations.
Experience in Continuous Improvement, ISO, or Lean environments (preferred).
Proven track record in labor relations, staffing, talent development, training, and compensation.
Preferred: Tire or automotive manufacturing experience.
Knowledge & Skills
In-depth knowledge of Federal Labor Law, Social Security Law, and labor regulations (Contrato Ley preferred).
Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and organizational skills.
Proven ability to build and develop high-performance teams.
Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong coaching and mentoring abilities.
Knowledge of environmental compliance, ISO 14001:2015, ICHE procedures, and machine symbology.
