Manufacturing/Warehouse locations include Watertown, WI, Milwaukee, WI, Broadview, IL, Elgin, IL, Machesney Park, IL, and Iron Ridge, WI, with a Sales, and Innovation / Strategic Marketing team primarily in Troy, Michigan. Known for innovation, diversification, and excellent financial performance.   We are never, whether we know it or not, more than a few steps from an innovative ITW solution.Position Summary: The Sr. HR Generalist will provide leadership in the execution of HR Operations and support strategic HR initiatives. The Sr. HR Generalist will be a critical on-site HR partner to our frontline Supervisors and Managers, acting as a coach and confidant on topics including organizational effectiveness and change, talent acquisition, talent management and training / development, performance management, compensation, and employee relations.The ideal candidate must be self-driven, capable of working independently, and comfortable engaging with cross-functional leaders in a fast-paced, matrix environment. Strong communication, business acumen, and problem-solving skills are essential to support the HR team’s objectives and to provide meaningful partnership at the plant level.Work Environment and Location Expectations:This role is on-site at our Elgin, IL facility. Regular presence at the plant is essential to:Build and maintain strong relationships with plant and operational team members.Fully understand organization drivers impacting business performance.Collaborate cross-functionally and contribute meaningfully to continuous improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities: Serves as an HR partner to plant leadership, providing insights that guide talent decisions and improve organizational performance.Supports the ITW performance management cycle, advising and coaching in areas of goal setting, mid-year feedback activities, annual performance review and the compensation planning process.Works with functional leaders to manage talent acquisition activities including talent upgrade efforts as necessary and advises on market compensation requirements.  Coordinates recruitment efforts from job scoping activity through the offer phase.Provides guidance and support on day-to-day general employee relations issues.Provides leave management support - disability and workers compensation.Plays a lead role in new hire onboarding; creates a positive first impression of the company and serves as a role model for ITW values.Inputs and maintains employee data in the HRIS system such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics for reporting.  Prepares regular and special reports using HRIS.Carries out research and data analysis and assists with proposals and presentations.Prepares employee communication documents including new hire, disability, benefit, separation notices and related documentation. Works with ITW Corporate Human Resources or third-party providers, as necessary, in management of employee life cycle processes and transactions.Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources functions and ensures policies, procedures and reporting comply.Supports initiatives with Safety and OSHA compliance.Performs other duties as assigned.Willingness to travel locally.Required Skill, Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Business or PsychologyAt least 4 years of HR Generalist experience, requiredSHRM, PHR or SPHR certification, preferredKnowledge and experience in HR regulations and practicesDemonstrated ability to partner directly with operational leaders and communicate talent insights to non-HR stakeholdersSelf-starter with strong problem solving, interpersonal, continuous improvement, and time management skillsExcellent written and oral communication skills including strong facilitation skills, requiredGood knowledge of Excel, Word and Power Point, requiredAbility to use good judgment and discretion with highly confidential business and employee informationAbility to influence and motivate action within the organization by leveraging strong working relationships.

Compensation Information:

$88,000 - $100,000 / annually
