Senior HR Advisor – Wagga Wagga
Job Description

Join Our Team as a Senior HR Advisor!

We're looking for a seasoned HR professional to join our team at our Wagga Wagga Site in NSW (with occasional travel to Echuca Site, VIC). As a Senior HR Advisor, you'll play a key role in supporting our site management teams and driving HR initiatives that make our workplace a great place to be.

About the Role:

Provide expert HR advice and support to site management teams to achieve site goals

Develop and implement comprehensive site HR plans, aligned with national HR strategies, to drive business performance

Manage the external and internal recruitment and selection process for site staff, ensuring timely and effective resourcing

Develop and implement local remuneration and benefits strategies, ensuring equitable and market-competitive compensation

Lead organizational development initiatives to increase employee involvement and engagement, including culture surveys, values rollout, and succession planning

Manage all work-related and non-work-related injuries, ensuring legislative compliance and cost-effective management

Implement national HR policies and procedures, and develop site-specific policies as needed

Analyze HR data to inform business decisions and drive improvements

Manage Human Resource information systems, maintaining accurate and secure personnel, training, and payroll records

Act as the site's communications contact, improving the flow of information to site employees

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement site training and development activities, including the waged employee competency system

Manage employee relations, industrial relations, and workplace injuries

Provide guidance on EBA and award interpretations, employment law, and HR policies

Play a key role in EBA negotiations, driving flexibility outcomes and constructive relationships with unions

Manage restructuring activity quickly and constructively

What We're Looking For:

Strong industrial relations experience and knowledge of Australian employment law

HR experience in a manufacturing site, ideally in the food industry

Ability to understand HR strategy and operationalize this effectively on a manufacturing site

Excellent coaching, influencing, and negotiation skills

Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
