Senior Hardware Test Engineer Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local * * * **The Opportunity:** CACI International Inc. has an immediate opening for a Senior Hardware Test Engineer located in Dulles, VA. The Sr. Hardware Test Engineer will work with the Operations Manager to mentor/guide a team of Test Technicians that tests assemblies and components, performs verification and validation activities, develops and implements test fixtures, automates test methodologies and data collection devices. This position will work closely with Engineering and Program Managers to architect the testing processes and guidelines. **Responsibilities:** + Implement and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures throughout the full system development life cycle. + Set up and manage diverse test environments for a hardware and software development team. + Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies at component, integration, system, and end-to-end levels. + Create and automate test scripts, conducting regression, and performance tests. + Formulate and execute detailed test strategies, plans, and procedures, covering all aspects from monitoring and control to analysis, design, implementation, execution, completion, and traceability. + Act as an individual contributor at times and mentor more junior team members. + Provides technical and managerial leadership to the test personnel to impact test yield improvement, reduce test time, increase capacity, and eliminate false failures. + Will be responsible for maintaining the test departments equipment and ensuring compliance for calibration and test plan/customer requirements. + Will act as the test department’s SME (Subject Matter Expert) to review and approve test plans/instructions for supporting programs and product realization through the production process. + Interfaces with vendor support service groups to maintain knowledge and resolve technical problems. + Test and inspect basic electrical and electronic subassemblies, assemblies and systems to assure conformance to schematics and company and customer specifications when needed. + Set-up, calibrate, and operate a wide variety of test equipment to include spectrum analyzers, signal generators and oscilloscopes. + Interpret and follow written documents such as SOPs, testing procedures and safety rules. + Manage the schedule and operation of the RF test chamber (Anechoic Chamber) for the C-C5ISR Solutions Division. + Other duties as assigned by manager **Qualifications:** _Required:_ + Ability to obtain TS SCI clearance. + A self-starter with excellent verbal, written, and problem-solving skills. + Bachelor’s degree in a related Engineering or related technical field and 15+ years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. A master’s degree is preferred. + Experience with lab equipment. (Including but not limited to spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.) + Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings. (Mechanical and Electrical) + Demonstrated knowledge of Linux. (RHEL, CentOS, Debian) + Ability to interface with all levels of internal management, as well as program sponsors and external contractors. _Desired:_ + Proficient using Bash/Python scripting for task automation Programming and troubleshooting digital control circuits along with microwave experience. + Direct and demonstrated experience in debugging of RF systems. + Programming experience with micro-controllers, and embedded Linux. - **________________________________________________________________________________________** **What You Can Expect:** **A culture of integrity.** At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
