Senior Group Legal Counsel
Join our Team

We are looking for a savvy, creative and driven Senior Legal Counsel to join the Legal Enterprise Center of Excellence.
The Legal Enterprise Center of Excellence will: create and implement similar approaches to common legal and business issues, identifying synergies in the Enterprise businesses and enabling the businesses to scale and move into new markets; facilitate collaboration with, and provide enterprise expertise to, other parts of Group Function Legal Affairs (Market Area and Business Area); drive operational excellence by modeling rigor and delivering excellent legal services, training tools and guidelines that set a high standard for lawyers in the enterprise businesses; and advise, assist and/or lead critical matters.

 

What you will do 
You will:
•    Create and implement similar approaches to common legal and business issues, identifying synergies in the Enterprise businesses and enabling the businesses to scale and move into new markets
•    Develop strategic tools and guidelines supporting Enterprise businesses
•    Model operational excellence and provide highly effective training, workshops and coaching to legal counsels supporting Enterprise businesses   
•    Lead and/or counsel on critical issues, including managing and communicating with stakeholders at executive level 
•    Facilitate collaboration with, and provide Enterprise expertise to, other parts of Group Function Legal Affairs (Market Area and Business Area) to continually address simplification, identify synergies and efficiencies
•    Report to the Head of Legal for the Enterprise Center for Excellence


You will bring:
•    Master of Law degree (or law qualification of equivalent standing)
•    10 -15 + years work experience as a global commercial lawyer, preferably with a mix of law firm and in-house 
•    Robust knowledge and skills in the Enterprise space, including partnering with the business to scale into new global markets, new product introduction, data privacy and security. 
•    Ability to handle any counterparty in strategic negotiations, and partner with high level executives.
•    Interest in and understanding of Enterprise business strategies.
•    Strong analytical and strategic risk-mitigation mindset with a focus on operational efficiency and creative problem solving
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
•    The ability to work independently and lead multiple tasks and activities, while also embracing a team player approach to work – initiating and driving positive change
