Senior Group Leader for DevSecOps Directorate
**Description** ARA has an opening for a Senior GL for the DevSecOps Directorate within the Software Enterprise Division (SED), and we are seeking qualified applicants. The SGL will have responsibility for multiple Platform and DevSecOps groups (55+ personnel, $30M+ in revenue) supporting SED, the Integrated Mission Systems (IMS) sector, and various corporate initiatives. The new SGL will be responsible for evolving the organization in a way to best align with SED’s other directorates and missions (i.e., Kinetic M&S, Cyber and Non-Kinetic M&S, and Digital and Mission Engineering). In order to be successful, each of the groups need to work closely together and with other groups in SED and ARA to ensure the success of the overall mission. The main office for SED is in Raleigh, NC with additional staff in San Antonio, TX and various remote and satellite locations. Currently, the directorate consists of a portfolio of projects that include customers in the DoD and IC. The directorate is working to diversify both its portfolio and customer base, particularly in the Army and Navy services. In addition, the Director will lead company-wide practices regarding DevSecOps, and should anticipate playing a significant role in shaping and contributing to how we evolve various architectures to effectively and efficiently support the DoD’s DevSecOps strategy (Ref 1 (https://dodcio.defense.gov/Portals/0/Documents/Library/DoDEnterpriseDevSecOpsStrategyGuide.pdf) and Ref 2 (https://dodcio.defense.gov/Portals/0/Documents/Library/DoD%20Enterprise%20DevSecOps%20Fundamentals%20v2.5.pdf) ). The company-wide DevSecOps platform is currently resourced leveraging the directorate’s expertise and will continue to do so. **Senior Group Leader Responsibilities:** Project Oversight + Hold GLs / PMs accountable for high technical quality in all group projects + Oversight of project quality reviews, budget, and schedule performance Marketing + Emphasize technical excellence as the foundation for customer satisfaction, follow-on work, and marketing + Lead and support marketing/business development for the directorate. Platforms and DevSecOps are viewed as complementary capabilities to many of our other directorates and divisions. Superior technical marketing of Platforms and DevSecOps capabilities is key to enabling other capture of specific customers and solving their problems. + Present company-wide capabilities for various purposes as needed and/or directed, and collaborate with other units in ARA on multi-disciplinary opportunities Talent Management + Recruit individuals based on the needs of current and future projects to support the demand for Platform and DevSecOps expertise + Coach and develop Group Leaders / Supervisors to enable them to be high-quality technical leaders + Hold GLs and supervisors accountable for business, organizational, and employee development goals Financial Management + Review and monitor each group’s budget including overhead and direct contract components; communicate with Division/Sector Manager as needed **Senior Group Leader Requirements:** + Candidates selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information + BS / BA in a relevant discipline, plus 12-15 years of related experience.
