As a Senior GL Accountant, you will take ownership of key General Ledger processes, ensuring high-quality accounting, compliance with standards, and timely period-end close. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and support continuous improvement initiatives within RTR.

You will report directly to the GL Team Manager.

Your responsibilities

•    Performing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations

•    Preparing and reviewing manual journal entries

•    Executing month-end and period-end close activities in line with corporate deadlines

•    Managing P&L and Balance Sheet accounts

•    Supporting statutory accounting and reporting for assigned legal entities

•    Ensuring compliance with US GAAP, local statutory requirements and internal control frameworks

•    Reviewing work prepared by less experienced team members

•    Driving standardisation and continuous improvement of GL processes

•    Supporting automation initiatives and implementation of new technologies

•    Cooperating closely with internal and external finance stakeholders

•    Participating in ad-hoc projects as required

Our requirements

•    Minimum 4 years of experience in General Ledger / RTR accounting in a multinational or complex finance environment

•    University degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics

•    Very good English (spoken and written)

•    Solid knowledge of US GAAP and European statutory accounting principles

•    High level of independence, ownership and accountability for assigned processes

•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

•    Ability to work under time pressure and meet strict deadlines

Nice to have:

•    Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACA, CA, CFA or similar)

•    Experience with systems such as SAP, Blackline, HFM, JD Edwards, ServiceNow or Radius

•    Experience in process improvements, standardisation or automation initiatives

•    Previous involvement in RTR transitions or implementations
