As a member of the Asia Finance team, the Senior GL Accountant will be managing all accounting matters, ensuring quality control, and interfacing with external stakeholders within the Global Business Services (GBS). You will be responsible for preparing and following up on the audit PBC list, maintaining the integrity of financial records, reports, and processes, and executing accounting activities in alignment with LEAP and China GAAP standards. With our office based at UOA Business Park, Shah Alam, reports to the Superior in China.
Responsibilities
Perform monthly closing activities, ensuring the general ledger is accurately maintained and closed in a timely and efficient manner. Provide timely and accurate financial information in accordance with global and statutory standards. Prepare and submit monthly close reports and analyses for management review. Prepare data for financial analysis and assist in tracking and analyzing financial performance. Conduct balance sheet reviews, reconcile accounts, follow up on open issues, and take immediate corrective actions. Manage Capex procedures. Prepare the audit PBC list and coordinate support for internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with annual auditing requirements for statutory financial reports. Implement strict accounting standards and internal control procedures to achieve clear audit results. Address and rectify audit findings. Recommend and develop processes to enhance the efficiency of the closing process. Participate in special projects as requested and assist with training programs for new accounting employees.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance or Accounting. Minimum of three years of independent General Ledger (GL) experience, preferably with Chinese entity service experience. Strong understanding of Chinese and US GAAP and their practical applications. High sense of responsibility and accountability. Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent proficiency in Chinese (speaking, reading, and writing). Experience with ERP systems, preferably QAD.
