As a Senior Geoscientist you will be part of a team of professionals who encompass all upstream technical disciplines (geology, geophysics, petrophysics, reservoir engineering, drilling and completion and development planning / facilities engineering), with midstream and downstream engineering and economics, commercial, legal and business strategy professionals.
As a Senior Geoscientist you will:
Undertake geological / seismic interpretation and analysis using appropriate techniques and technologies to provide world class solutions for the clientProvide geoscience input to multi-disciplinary projects, including resource evaluations, field development studies, reservoir characterisation and unitisation and redetermination assessments.Review and undertake interpretation of seismic data and interpretations including the use of seismic attributes for reservoir characterisation.Construct and audit geomodels for assets from frontier exploration and new field developments to mature producing assets and increasingly CCUS projects. Key skill is to understand the uncertainties and limitations at the various stages of asset developmentGenerate and present data interpretation and reports to clients either individually or as part of the larger project teamAdvise clients on geoscience matters, often at a senior levelProject manage projects including managing the project team, project deliverables, maintaining frequent contact with the client and ensuring adherence to timescales and budgetsProvide geoscience support and mentoring advice to colleaguesMentor the development of less experienced geoscience colleaguesAssist the business development team in delivering new projectsFuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will have:
Considerable experience as a Development/Production Geologist / Geophysicist with a broad range of experience gained from working for an Operator on a range of assets from select/define through to project execution, with exposure to mature field redevelopment and reservoir surveillance;Mastery of geoscience skills required for resource estimation (Prospective Resources to Reserves);Advanced geomodelling skills (preferably using Petrel), and ability to quickly identify “industry best practice” in geomodelling;Ability to work independently, but also to deliver as part of a team;Strong understanding of all aspects of petroleum geosciences, including seismic interpretation, petrophysical analysis and reservoir engineering principles;Experience of working in the “consultancy environment” would be a benefit;Excellent report writing and presentation skills;Work in a way that works for you
