As the Senior Human Resources Generalist, you will serve as the on-site HR leader for a key Aerospace customer. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our workforce strategy meets the precision, quality, and compliance expectations of a high-accountability environment. You will lead efforts in employee relations, staffing, engagement, performance management, and compliance—with a strong focus on high-quality hiring, detailed training, and a culture of excellence. A distinguishing feature of this position is the design and execution of tailored, site-specific training programs aligned to Aerospace standards and customer expectations.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

Lead employee relations investigations with discretion, consistency, and documentation aligned to legal and policy standards Support best-in-class staffing strategies to attract and retain talent who meet the high attention-to-detail and compliance standards required by the aerospace customer Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on the full-cycle hiring process for both hourly and salaried roles, prioritizing quality over speed while ensuring timely onboarding Collaborate with site leader to develop and reinforce a high-performing, quality-driven workforce culture Manage compliance activities, including I-9 documentation, safety protocols, audit readiness, and regulatory adherence—with specific accountability for ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) compliance and customer-specific quality standards Develop and implement retention strategies aligned with engagement and early-stage attrition KPIs. Partner with leaders on the performance management process and coach managers through development conversations and progressive discipline when needed Design, implement, and evaluate site-specific training programs, including
  - Role-based onboarding tailored to aerospace requirements
  - Supervisor development focused on coaching, documentation, and quality assurance
  - Compliance training with aerospace-specific policies and customer requirements
  - Ongoing learning to embed a “first-time right” culture across teams Track and analyze workforce KPIs including turnover, training completion, engagement trends, and staffing quality metrics Lead HR projects or cross-site initiatives aligned to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in aerospace, automotive, logistics, or similarly regulated industry Experience supporting 100+ employees in a detail-critical environment Proven success in building training programs that meet operational and customer-specific quality standards Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance, including ITAR regulations Hands-on experience with HRIS systems including SuccessFactors, Kronos, and Cornerstone Clear ability to work in a customer-facing environment, representing HR in a professional, proactive, and compliance-oriented manner Ability to travel domestically as needed (no more than 25%) Must possess Real-ID compliant Driver’s License or US Passport

It’d be great if you also have:

PHR or SHRM-CP preferred Bilingual English/Spanish Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience

Working Conditions

This is a full-time, onsite role supporting a climate-controlled aerospace logistics facility. Occasional off-shift availability may be required to support training or engagement initiatives
