**Your role and responsibilities**
We are seeking a Senior Functional Quality Engineer to lead the design and execution of high‑quality testing strategies for custom software applications. You will play a key role in ensuring that systems behave as expected, align with user needs, and meet the highest standards of reliability. This role combines hands‑on functional testing expertise with leadership, mentoring, and continuous‑improvement responsibilities.
Responsibilities
• Lead the planning, design, and execution of comprehensive functional testing strategies for custom applications.
• Mentor and guide junior quality engineers, supporting their growth and fostering a collaborative, quality‑driven culture.
• Work closely with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure successful delivery outcomes.
• Contribute to long‑term testing strategies, roadmaps, and quality processes.
• Drive the adoption of automated testing, improving efficiency and reducing manual effort.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Ensure testing practices align with security, performance, and compliance requirements.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
• Experience working with microservices architectures.
• Knowledge of containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline practices.
• Experience with TDD and BDD methodologies.
• Understanding of security principles in software development.

**Preferred technical and professional experience**
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools).
• Familiarity with performance testing tools or techniques.
• Strong experience in requirements analysis and translating user needs into clear test scenarios.
