Your Responsibilities

As a Full Stack Developer, you will develop web-based applications that connect operators, engineers, and machines. You’ll work across the stack and be involved throughout the development lifecycle—from requirements gathering to implementation and deployment

Collaborate with a team of skilled Software Developers to continuously improve and maintain the CIMS platform.Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including specification, design, implementation, documentation, testing, and delivery.Contribute to digital transformation by driving innovation and enhancing platform capabilities.Design intuitive user interfaces for operator panels, dashboards, and build robust backend systems that handle real-time data from sensors and control systems.Integrate with industrial systems such as SCADA and PLCs via APIs, ensuring all solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable.Work closely with cross-functional roles including software engineers, electronics engineers, product owners, system owners, stakeholders, and customers.

Your background

Master’s degree in computer science or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience as a Full Stack Developer, and a strong understanding of modern design patterns and development paradigms.Proven experience in specification, requirement analysis, technology selection, design, implementation, and documentation, preferably in industrial environments, along with a broad technical interest and self-motivation.Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks like React or Angular; backend experience with Node.js, .NET, or Python; and familiarity with databases such as SQL or time-series.Skilled in C++, C#, or Delphi development, with knowledge of industrial communication protocols (OPC UA, MQTT), SCADA systems, HMI platforms, and real-time data visualization.Experience with cybersecurity in OT environments, DevOps practices, container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and meriting knowledge in AI/model learning and Linux environments.A collaborative team player with a positive mindset, fluent in Swedish and English is mandatory due to the global nature of the company.

You will be part of the Ports business line within the Marine and Ports division that is specialized in advanced automation and information systems for all types of container and bulk cargo handling cranes, as well as OCR and electrical systems for container terminals. We offer an international and dynamic working environment where our business delivers advanced technology on large projects across the world in a customer oriented and highly globalized industry.

The Information Solutions Department plays a key role in supporting terminal operations by collecting and processing data from ABB Ports' automated cranes. This data is utilized by our in-house developed CIMS platform, a SCADA system featuring live 3D visualization, data collection and storage, reporting, and integration with other systems and applications. The platform helps our customers operate, optimize, and maintain terminal production efficiently.
