The Digital Advice Technology team is looking for a software engineer to design/develop major enhancements to the Planning suite of products and create new products that positively impact our clients and those who serve our clients. This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong problem-solving skills who can contribute in a highly collaborative culture and Agile team environment. The ability to deliver innovative, secure, and reliable solutions is key to success in this role. Our Software Applications Engineers are driven to learn, grow, and continuously contribute to evolving the Schwab experience and technology.
What you haveMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field OR related practical experience7+ years professional experience in software development5+ years leveraging object-oriented languages such as C#, and/or C++3+ year experience working with test automationAbility to develop unit and acceptance tests, and effectively automate test executionExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to contribute to all phases of the SDLCRequirements reviewDesign implementationAll aspects of testingProduction implementation and supportData analysisHunger to learn and an intense technical curiosityCritical thinker and solutions-orientedStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsDesire to learn new technologiesTenacity and persistencePreferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of creating cloud-native applicationsexperience with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular preferred)Experience developing with .NET CoreExperience with BDD creation and related automation.
