Ready to join a talented team passionate about delivering insights and driving efficiencies? We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to fulfil monthly internal management performance results, reporting, forecasting, and planning for our operations in Australia and New Zealand.

Your Role: 
You will provide analytical insights into monthly internal management performance results, carry out monthly management reporting, and assist in preparing and producing regular forecasts and the annual Plan for our Australian and New Zealand Operations. You will be instrumental in delivering various reports to management and business departments, aiding in the analysis of operating results to support the business, and coordinating efforts related to production reforecasts and the annual Plan.

Your Responsibilities:

Analyse and report on monthly Production and Acquisition Cost updates and coordinate conversations with various stakeholders promptly, providing appropriate commentary.Produce a comprehensive monthly internal management reporting pack to support the business departments and senior management in understanding key drivers and lead indicators of business results.Manage month-end premium and acquisition cost accruals and US GAAP reserving activities for the Combined business division, including preparation of premium and commission accruals, DAC schedule, and relevant reports for submission to the actuary.Oversee quarterly SOX controls testing requirements and report on the outcomes.Prepare monthly reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts, ensuring appropriate supporting documentation is in place.Assist in the coordination and preparation of production, acquisition cost, and expenses Plan for the Australian and New Zealand businesses.Develop regular production and acquisition cost forecasts, conduct variance analysis, document key drivers, and communicate findings to senior management and the business.Maintain TM1 System records related to production forecasts and create management reports to meet business needs.Develop and coordinate TM1 System training requirements for Finance and business department users.Support the development of additional ad-hoc business reports to aid senior management in understanding performance results for informed decision-making.Implement continuous process improvements to enhance efficiencies and effectiveness across all areas of responsibility.
 

Your Skills & Experience:

Degree qualified in Accounting and/or Financial Management with full CPA/CA membership status.5–7 years post qualification commercial experience, with a minimum of 1-2 years in an FP&A environment; 1-2 years of Industry experience is desirable but not essential.Exceptional attention to detail, deadline-driven, and highly analytical, with a flexible approach to meeting business needs and managing multiple tasks.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with internal and external clients across all business levels.Familiarity with Financial Systems and Processes, particularly TM1 System, PeopleSoft, Meridian, Genius, Cognos, Alteryx applications, and experience with BI tools (e.g., Qlik or Tableau).
