WHAT YOU'LL DO
Responsible for ensuring the company's Fixed Assets Policy is followed by all areas of the organization. Review and reconcile Depreciation, Gain\Loss, and Property, Plant, & Equipment (PP&E) to verify accuracy and completeness in reporting. Prepare manual adjustments to these accounts, as needed. Assist in the development of analytical reports that provide timely and relevant information to Management. Supervisory responsibility for 3-5 direct reports.Review and approval of capital spend request forms, invoices, and various requests from others.Oversee research of assets to be disposed when replaced or otherwise removed from service.Ensure the appropriate depreciation method and life is used for each asset and that depreciation is calculated and posted to the general ledger with accuracy and completeness, in a timely manner.Prepare manual adjustments to system-calculated depreciation and gain\loss, as needed.Prepare monthly reporting related to PP&E, gain\loss, and impairment reserves for use by Management for decision-making and financial reporting.Ensure general ledger is reconciled timely and completely and ties to the Fixed Assets system.Assist with preparation of annual plans and quarterly projections.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Experience and Education:
Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years professional experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Fixed Assets accounting experience strongly preferred.Certifications:
CPA or candidate.Knowledge and Skills:
Supervisory skills.Planning and organizational skills.Strong oral and written communication skills.Strong computer skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
