As a Senior Financial Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis. In this role, you will shape a midterm vision for functional ownership, contribute to the strategic planning efforts for HQ and its segments, and lead the development of operating rhythms that support HQ functions, CBS activities, and cash flow processes.
As a Senior Financial Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for:
Leading HQ Segment Controllership and guiding the team to ensure high performance, driving continuous improvement, promoting automation and simplification, and investing in team development
Collaborating cross-functionally with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Segment Controllership, GFO, and Global Accounting on HQ operations, cross-business schedules, statement of cash flows, and related adjustments
Overseeing the preparation, review, and analysis of the Baker Hughes cash flow statement and adjustments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Partnering with FP&A Cash Flow teams and Segment Controllership to enhance analytics and processes related to working capital, cash flow, and adjustments, driving continuous improvement in close processes
Supporting quarterly balance sheet and close reviews by providing detailed analytics on balance sheet items (e.g., investment securities) and cash flow
Preparing and analyzing accurate financial statements and disclosures based on actual results, ensuring compliance with reporting regulations
Managing closing activities, including accounting for complex transactions such as mergers, dispositions, capital contributions, and cross-business schedules
Translating policy guidance into accounting entries and booking instructions in collaboration with Technical and Treasury Controllers, and interpreting chart of accounts and accounting policies for business application
Contributing to strategic decision-making by providing insights with cross-functional implications and supporting business-critical initiatives
Communicating high-level financial concepts to senior leadership and developing team capabilities through effective management and mentorship
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Financial Reporting
Have experience in a multinational business
A background in team management within a finance or controllership function is highly desirable
Must have strong working knowledge of US GAAP
Have professional knowledge of MS Office and financial reporting systems
Have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Be able to clearly communicate complex financial information and deliver messages effectively
Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects.
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
Established project management skills.
