Senior Financial Analyst / Plant Controller

Location:
This position can be based in Chicago, IL or Mason, MI. Candidates based in Mason must be willing and able to travel to our Chicago office on a monthly basis.

About the Role

We are open to hiring a candidate in one of two roles depending on qualifications:

Senior Financial Analyst

You’ll lead financial analysis for our Chicago plant, providing strategic insights and actionable recommendations to help meet and exceed financial targets. The role supports procurement and operations through data-driven cost analysis, forecasting, and performance measurement.

Plant Controller

You’ll oversee plant-level financial performance across multi-technology manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for complex cost analysis, budget planning, financial controls, and monthly closing processes, while acting as a strategic partner to operational leadership.

Key Responsibilities (will vary based on role and level)

Senior Financial Analyst responsibilities may include:

Analyze procurement spend, supplier costs, and category trends to identify savings.

Develop KPIs and monitor inventory and supply chain performance.

Provide scenario analysis and forecasting for sourcing, inventory, and capital planning.

Deliver financial insights on pricing, incentives, logistics, and cost centers.

Prepare ROI analysis for capital investments and new product launches.

Collaborate cross-functionally with teams in Finance, Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain.

Support AOP and IBP processes and create executive-level financial presentations.

Plant Controller responsibilities may include:

Lead plant financial planning including budgets, forecasts, and standard cost setting.

Manage cost center reporting, inventory valuation, and complex journal entries.

Conduct root cause analysis and implement process improvements.

Maintain internal controls and support compliance with audit and accounting policies.

Partner with plant managers to evaluate and justify capital projects.

Lead special financial projects and develop high-quality financial reporting and insights.

What You Bring

All Candidates:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field

Strong financial modeling, data analysis, and communication skills

Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred for Senior Financial Analyst:

5+ years in FP&A or financial analysis roles

Power BI proficiency a plus

Experience in manufacturing or Food Service/National Accounts a plus

Preferred for Plant Controller:

8+ years in accounting/finance with 6+ in manufacturing

Strong experience in cost analysis and capital planning

CPA/CMA preferred

SAP experience a plus
