**Senior Financial Analyst. Germany (m/f/d)**
**This position works out of our** **Wiesbaden site, Abbott GmbH in the Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) division.**
**Objective**
**Responsible for Month-end Close activities including preparing journal entries, accruals, and reclasses to other divisions/functions.**
**Prepare Flash reports and Actuals commentary vs. various benchmarks.**
**Analyze large, complex data sets to monitor financial performance for the ADC Germany affiliate, including price/volume variance analysis and ad-hoc reporting.**
**Support Balance Sheet analysis, forecast and reconciliation.**
**Responsible for Project Expense, Freight and Distribution expenses.**
**Collaborate with internal IT departments to ensure proper systems data flow and drive continuous data quality improvements.**
**Provide timely support for internal and external audit queries, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with financial standards.**
**Participate in improvement projects and provide training/documentation.**
**The position reports to Germany Finance Manager.**
**Major Accountabilities**
**Primary coordinator of DACH Month-end close process.**
**Prepare the monthly, quarterly financial reporting packages.**
**Support the Finance team in the development of Plan/LBEs/OEM cycles.**
**Support Balance Sheet analysis, forecast and reconciliation.**
**Responsible for Project Expense, Freight and Distribution expenses.**
**Headcount reporting.**
**Advocate and train on relevant policies to ensure compliance to processes within ADC Germany**
**Deliver regular as well as ad-hoc reporting and analyses**
**Qualifications:**
**Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance/Accounting.**
**3-5 years or relevant experience in controlling or finance department, preferably in a multi-national company**
**Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint**
**Advanced SAP skills**
**Fluent in German and English**
**Leadership & analytical skills**
**Communication and presentation skills**
**Ability to build strong relationships at every level of the organization**
**Capabilities to challenge status quo and develop innovative processes & solutions**
**Detail-oriented with strong analytical, quantitative, and investigative skills**
**Self-Starter with problem solving skills and ability to meet deadlines**
