OVERVIEW:
The Senior Financial Analyst - Field Support is responsible for acting as a fiduciary, providing financial analysis and decision support for the organization in an effort to identify and address various risks and opportunities to accurately capture store labor expense. This role will update the weekly finance forecast, provide budget support, complete weekly/monthly/quarterly and ad hoc reporting and be one of the primary liaisons with the Store Operations team. Additionally, the Senior Financial Analyst will have an active role in preparing and presenting in the weekly store labor meeting with Finance and Store Operations leadership. The position works across the Finance team, as well as various business partners so the ability to collaborate effectively is essential. The Senior Analyst will also be involved in various ad hoc projects, which may include supporting our Operations/Technology/Finance partners in various product initiatives.
The position requires strong attention to detail, problem solving and conceptual thinking, and oral and written communication skills. The workload shifts frequently across job duties. Therefore, flexibility, perseverance, and comfort with ambiguity are requirements for success in this role.
Store Labor Forecast Support and Analysis
Tracking of weekly/daily hours by banner and region to determine scheduled vs issued hourly trendsActualizing the finance forecast weekly utilizing data received from Payroll ServicesProjecting weekly management, productive hourly, non-productive and store support payrollProviding weekly updates to Corporate FP&A and Store Operations on forecast changesActively identify risks and opportunities to the company’s finance forecastSupporting Regional Finance Managers with any data requests and analysis pertaining to store labor metricsRegular and Ad Hoc Reporting
Preparing and presenting updates to the weekly store labor forecast, store labor trends, wage rate decompositions and earned payroll for the weekly store labor meeting.Preparing monthly reporting to support the company’s Fuel for Growth initiativesPreparing banner level reporting to support monthly and quarterly Corporate FP&A and Investor Relations requirementsSupporting the team’s Director and Manager on various ad hoc related projects as necessary including the operating budget
Liaison (Admin) Support and Reporting
Assist in developing annual operating budgets for liaison areas of responsibilityCreate and/or provide oversight related to monthly reporting for liaison areas.Providing broad support for the Store Operations teamAssisting with other Ad Hoc analysis and reporting as neededQUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree-MBA/CPA a plus
Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related business field
3-5 Years of Experience
Prefer knowledge of MS Excel, PeopleSoft Financials and Hyperion
1 – 3 years of specific experience supporting: expense planning, forecasting, presenting, investment analysis
