**Senior Financial Analyst/CDM Chargemaster -Corporate-Full-Time Days (Hybrid)**
We seek an experienced Senior Financial Analyst / CDM Chargemaster with strong medical coding expertise to support the maintenance, compliance, and optimization of the hospital Charge Description Master (CDM). The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of Epic (required) and Meditech (preferred) systems, and collaborate cross-functionally with clinical, financial, coding, and IT teams to ensure accurate and regulatory-compliant charge capture.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelors degree in Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience
+ 5+ years of experience in hospital chargemaster maintenance and medical coding.
+ Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent credential required
+ Proficient in CPT, HCPCS, revenue codes, and Medicare billing regulations.
+ Advanced proficiency in Epic, especially in EAP configuration and charge workflows.
+ Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and related tools.
+ Epic certification in Charging or Billing is highly desirable.
+ Experience with Meditech and legacy systems preferred.
+ Background in Revenue Integrity, Health Information Management, or financial analysis preferred.
+ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across clinical, financial, and IT departments preferred.
+ Up-to-date knowledge of payer regulations and healthcare compliance standards preferred.
**Compensation Statement**
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $79,440.28 - $120,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

**Responsibilities**
+ **New Charge Requests & Clinical Documentation Review:**
+ Review clinical documentation to validate appropriate charge code builds and resolve charge suspense issues
+ Process and evaluate new charge requests across departments and facilities
+ Ensure correct billing configuration across Epic and Meditech modules
**Chargemaster Maintenance:**
+ Builds new charges by reviewing, assigning, and validating CPT/HCPCS and revenue codes and setting prices
+ Review CPT-4, HCPCS, and revenue code updates regularly
+ Maintain the CDM with timely updates driven by regulatory changes and department requests
+ Ensures the ongoing accuracy and integrity of the CDM by making sure all charges are communicated and coordinated with the performing departments
**Charge Capture Auditing & Compliance:**
+ Audit charge capture for inpatient, outpatient, clinic, ED, and ambulatory services
+ Work with HIM and billing teams to support rebilling and correction processes as needed
**Coding & Billing Accuracy:**
+ Audit and validate charge integrity in Epic and Meditech systems
+ Coordinate billing code corrections with PFS, HIM, and clinical stakeholders
+ Monitor compliance with CMS and third-party payer requirements
**System Administration & Regulatory Support:**
+ Support implementation of regulatory coding changes and ensure CDM compliance across systems
+ Assist in resolving problems causing payer denial or failed Medicare edits as they involve the chargemaster
+ Coordinate with IT and clinical departments to ensure alignment of charging workflows
+ Ensures all impacted systems are updated with new /revised charge codes
+ Ensures deleted charge codes are removed from charging workflows and systems
+ Other duties and/or projects as assigned
