Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team in the Canadian Retail Banking sector. This role involves working closely with Senior managers and legal entity experts to manage portfolios related to personal deposits and retail lending. The candidate will contribute significantly to day-to-day deliverables, project support, and overall portfolio management.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Senior management to understand and implement updates in financial and data models.Perform maintenance and updates of financial/data models, executing monthly roll-overs.Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy, identify trends and variances, and prepare financial presentations.Collect and process data to assist with inquiries from different business groups.Perform day-to-day investigations and provide timely support to business units.Generate reports for distribution and retrieve information from existing models and databases.Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in taking on new challenges and contribute to team objectives.

Essential Skills

3-5+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst, preferably within financial services.Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other finance-related discipline.Advanced Excel skills including Pivot tables and VLookups.Financial Planning and Analysis, including forecasting, planning, and KPI tracking.Strong financial modeling and reporting capabilities.Proficient in data analysis and variance analysis.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

CPA certification or in the process of obtaining it is a strong plus.Experience with PowerBI or SQL is advantageous.Proficiency in using MS Office applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel.Demonstrated investigative and problem-solving abilities.Versatile and adaptive, able to contribute beyond primary portfolio tasks.Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.

Work Environment

This role is based in a hybrid work environment at our Toronto, Ontario office, with working hours from 9 AM to 5 PM. The position requires 2-3 days in the office. You will be part of a close-knit team in the Canadian retail banking line of business.

This is a Contract position based out of Ca, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
