Job Description:
A global life sciences company is seeking a Financial Analyst III to support financial planning, reporting, and operational analysis for a fast-paced, data-driven organization. This role involves partnering cross-functionally to deliver insights that drive sound business decisions, improve operational efficiency, and support strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with large, complex datasets while effectively communicating findings to stakeholders at all levels.
This role supports the FP&A function within Thermo Fisher’s Transplant Diagnostics Group (West Coast). The team is responsible for management reporting, month-end close and trending, monthly and quarterly forecasting, year-end budgeting, ad-hoc strategic analysis, and maintenance of internal finance databases.

Month-end close support (actuals review, trending, variance explanations) Monthly and quarterly forecasting Management reporting for leadership Budgeting and long-range planning support Ad-hoc strategic and financial analysis Database and dataset maintenance Identifying operational and cost-efficiency opportunitiesEssential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics.2-5+ years of experience performing as a Financial Analyst supporting a large complex organization Experience supporting month-end close, executing journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis Strong accounting knowledge, GAAPLife Science or Manufacturing industry experience preferredProficiency in financial analysis, Excel, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SAP, Oracle, SmartView, and SQL.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with financial modeling and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).Familiarity with advanced financial systems and tools such as Hyperion.Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.Ability to present financial insights and recommendations to leadership.Work Environment
This position offers a stable Monday–Friday schedule with some flexibility, supporting a balanced work-life structure. It is a 100% onsite role located in West Hills, CA, facilitating collaboration, learning, and relationship-building. The role offers exposure to advanced financial systems and tools, providing valuable experience for future career progression.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
