Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst provides critical financial insight and support in a manufacturing and public company environment. This role performs advanced financial analysis, supports FP&A activities, and helps translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership. The analyst partners closely with cross-functional teams, leverages strong GAAP knowledge, and uses advanced Excel and ERP data to drive accurate reporting, informed decision-making, and continuous process improvement.

ResponsibilitiesPerform detailed financial analysis to support business decisions, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in a manufacturing environment.Lead and support FP&A activities, drawing on 2–5 years of FP&A experience to provide accurate and timely financial insights.Apply strong knowledge of financial accounting and GAAP to ensure the integrity and compliance of financial reporting.Analyze and interpret complex financial data, translating it into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for leadership.Support cost accounting and manufacturing accounting activities, particularly in a high-mix, low-volume production environment.Extract, clean, and analyze large data sets from ERP systems to support reporting, reconciliations, and strategic analysis.Prepare and improve financial reports, dashboards, and analyses to enhance transparency and support decision-making.Collaborate with colleagues in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and accounting to resolve issues independently and efficiently.Build strong working relationships across the organization, communicating financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely, accurate completion of deliverables in a fast-paced environment.Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting, using constructive curiosity to drive change and efficiency.Support reconciliations and other month-end and period-end activities as needed to maintain accurate financial records.Essential SkillsMinimum of 4 years of relevant work experience, ideally within a manufacturing business environment and a public company setting.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and GAAP.2–5 years of experience in FP&A, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.Experience in cost accounting or manufacturing accounting, preferably in a high-mix, low-volume environment.Proven FP&A analytical capabilities with a track record of delivering meaningful financial insights.Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and other advanced functions.Experience with ERP data extraction, data clean-up, and financial data analysis.Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.Excellent communication and leadership abilities with the confidence to influence and drive change.Proven ability to build relationships and resolve issues independently.Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and deliver accurate results on time.Additional Skills & QualificationsProfessional certifications such as CMA or CPA are preferred.An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.Experience working with Sage 100 or Syspro ERP systems.Experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to challenge the status quo to improve processes and outcomes.Work Environment

You will work as part of a tight-knit accounting and finance team that includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, and an accounting lead supporting multiple locations. The environment emphasizes collaboration, open communication, and shared ownership of results across sites. You will regularly work with ERP systems such as Sage 100 or Syspro and rely heavily on Excel for analysis and reporting. The role involves managing multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing setting while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism in day-to-day attire and conduct.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
