Position Summary:
This dynamic Senior FInancial Analyst will lead key financial planning and analysis activities for the Biosciences division. This is a high visibility role within the business, providing a tremendous opportunity for learning and long-term career growth. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with a strong operations finance/accounting background, who has a high level of attention to detail and enjoys continuous improvement. We are a fast paced, robust team looking for a candidate who will continue to drive the Finance function forward.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate as the onsite finance and accounting leaderProactively provide insights to drive informed decision making and strong financial performanceManage the monthly forecast cycle ensuring accuracy and clear communication of key issuesChampion identified key continuous improvement projects, to drive improved resultsImplementation and oversight of appropriate systems and control/process standardsSafeguard company property and assets embedding financial internal controls, compensatory controls and/or risk mitigation plans into the areas of responsibilityLead the Annual Operating Plan process for the siteMinimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business requiredMBA, CMA, or CPA preferred4+ years of proven experience in operations finance within a large, multi-national companySignificant experience leading and developing successful teamsSelf-reliant, problem solver with a natural bias towards continuous operational improvementOutstanding excel skills and experience with small to mid-sized ERP systemsUnderstanding of finance, accounting, and impact to reporting systemsExperience with Hyperion Planning, Smartview or similar systemsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProven track record of working with a diverse group of individualsAbility to effectively communicate and collaborate with senior managementDemonstrated experience in a complex, multinational, heavily matrixed organizationEmbraces challenges in a continuously evolving environmentThermo Fisher Scientific is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability or any other legally protected status.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Illinois is $93,800.00–$125,000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
