Senior Financial Analyst, Marmaxx Stock Ledger

The Marmaxx Stock Ledger team is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of sales and inventory levels.  The team provides support to our cross-functional business partners via reporting and analysis to optimize strategic decisions.  The team actively participates in the planning and execution of the year-end Physical Inventory process from managing the year-end flow of inventory through Distribution Centers to stores to the physical counts. 

 

Your Impact: 

Perform standard Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly reporting with excellent attention to detail. Analyze key TJ Maxx & Marshalls financial/merchandise metrics to drive business decisions. Support successful month-end and year-end close process by preparing accurate and timely account reconciliations including variance resolution & completeness review. Plan and execute audits to analyze transit times within the supply chain.  Partner cross-functionally to understand operational implications. Perform Ad Hoc requests from senior management with focus on the supply chain, flow of inventory to stores, and inventory levels. Assist team with the successful completion of all Physical Inventory Requirements (DC & Store) by performing tasks as required, including assisting in the development and socialization of year-end calendars, leading communication with key business partners, and calculating shrink (merchandise loss). Participate and drive discussion in cross-functional committee meetings to improve year-end physical inventory process, building relationships with operational partners across the business. Partner with leadership and team to ensure any requests from other teams, including external and internal auditors are completed accurately and on time.  Prepare and fully own executive ready presentations and lead conversations with senior leaders. Identify and implement opportunities for operational improvement and efficiency. Incorporate existing reporting into Power BI dashboards and explore applications for other modern tools. 

 

Who We Are Looking For: You.  

2-4 years of experience working in a Finance, Accounting or Audit environment Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Economics or Accounting Power BI raw data preparation & dashboard building experience is a plus Excellent quantitative and analytical skills; experience reporting on large amounts of data Effective communications skills, both verbal and written, with previous experience presenting/leading presentations to management Able to concisely and effectively deliver results to management High level of curiosity to explore, learn and understand business information Strong sense of urgency around delivery of reports and deadlines Self-starter with high level of time management skills and ability to prioritize individual workload Strong technical skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required (i.e. pivot tables, power pivot, function logic and lookup/reference formulas and charts); experience with applications such as Cognos and PowerPoint is preferred but not required Benefits include Associate discount; 401(k) match; medical/dental/vision; HSA; health care FSA; life insurance; short/long-term disability; paid holidays/vacation /sick/bereavement/parental leave; EAP; incentive programs for management; auto/home insurance discounts; tuition reimbursement; scholarship program; adoption/surrogacy assistance; smoking cessation; child care/cell phone discounts; pet/legal insurance; credit union; referral bonuses. This position has a starting salary range of $83,100.00 to $106,000.00 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive.
