Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/ **Position Overview** We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the R&D Finance Team. The Finance Team plays an integral role by partnering with the business to provide actionable analyses and recommendations driven by detailed analytics. We are looking for a motivated & results-driven analyst to provide a deep level of support to the business in budgeting, forecasting, and actuals reporting & analysis. In addition, this role will drive improvements and create efficiencies within our existing reporting to better support and inform the business, while supporting the fulfillment of monthly and quarterly management reporting deliverables. **Responsibilities:** + Directly support the Innovation Excellence pillar of the broader Product Strategy & Innovation organization, directing staff and programs through reporting, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. + Dive deep into expenses to highlight potential areas for improvement. + Support monthly and quarterly management reporting through the creation of reports and presentations. + Support forecast processes by developing reporting to track progress toward the achievement of financial targets. + Support cost center managers by providing monthly reporting, reviewing actuals vs. plan, developing forecasts/budgets, and using internal platforms to assist in navigating PO/CAPEX approvals and monthly accruals. + Diagnose & troubleshoot issues as they arise in the Adaptive reporting platform and solicit employee feedback to identify areas for improvement or enhancement. + Partner within the R&D Finance team on all matters reporting and consolidation, as well as with the broader Finance org in US, DE and Japan. + Ensure SOX controls and GAAP compliance standards are fully met for all processes. **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:** + Bachelor’s degree in accounting, management, finance, or a related quantitative discipline preferred + A minimum of 5 years of FP&A experience + Experience using Adaptive Insights or other financial reporting software preferred + Strong communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively + Ability to work across various functional groups and levels of employees to effectively achieve results + Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills + Proven ability to work independently and appropriately plan, prioritize, and communicate progress on multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment + Demonstrate a balance of big picture thinking with appropriate attention to detail, confidentiality, accuracy, and sound judgment in delivering business outcomes + Proven ability to network, collaborate, and generate consensus effectively in a complex environment, possessing strong social skills, promoting inclusion, and building trusting relationships with business partners across all cultures and levels of the organization.
