What will you do?
We currently have an opening for an experienced financial analyst in our Product Cost group. As part of the team you will gain exposure and experience working with cross-functional teams, with support and flexibility to manage and develop your career.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate and coordinate with Global Transformation initiativesExposure to and work across global teams to support and lead enhancements and upgradesPresent at monthly or specific timed meetingsDevelop and implement UAT and Validation test cases for enhancements or source system changes related to product costing processesPerform UAT testing for enhancements, transformation projects and process changesAssist Manager in managing multiple efforts simultaneously across a broad range of functions, business and organizational unitsIdentify and drive process improvementsBuild relationships with technology and business management, internal customers and external stakeholders, including members of leadershipBuild a basic understanding of product costing & vehicle accountingBe comfortable with large data and complex processes involving product cost dataBuild a basic understanding of transfer pricing, inter-company trade flows & profit and how inter-company profit relates to the GM Consolidation inter-company profit eliminationAbility to connect the data from the source to Global Ledger data enrichment to how the enriched Global Ledger data is consumed by our data usersPerform various Global Ledger (GAAP, Statutory, Tax ledger) close functions and report summations on a monthly cadenceInvestigate the root cause and eliminate errors in financial transaction submissions from local ledgersReview and enrich data governance requests for new or changed data elements for the Global LedgerAssist with daily Global Ledger error monitoring and resolutionStreamline and document aspects of the data governance process to govern data elements within the Global Ledger.Work Appropriately
Hybrid: This position requires to work 3 days on site 2 days at home remote on a full-time basisAdditional Job Description
Required Qualifications:
Basic Required:College degree with major in accounting, finance, or equivalent experience/ training2 to 5 years finance/accounting experienceDemonstrated problem solving and analytical skillsStrong interpersonal skills and demonstrated commitment to teamwork and partnershipsExceptional organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a matrix organizationStrong oral and written communication skillsHighly proficient personal computer skills and technology drivenAbility to prioritize assignments/projects and multitask within restricted time constraints.Basic Preferred:
