Amazon seeks a highly motivated finance professional with an AI-first mindset to play a lead role in Operations Finance supporting the Global Engineering Services (GES) team. GES is a leader in program management, design, engineering, construction, and deployment of Amazon Ops assets and sustainability commitments. This is a great opportunity to support GES in a role with high impact and visibility to business-critical processes that will require interactions with Director and above leadership across Operations and Finance. Everyone on the team needs to be entrepreneurial, wear many hats, and work in a highly collaborative environment that’s more start-up than big company. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are critical in this role. Key job responsibilities
• Develop partnerships across Operations and use data to influence leadership decision-making
• Drive financing modeling and analysis for new initiatives - Lead long- and short-term financial planning, including financial reviews with senior business partners (including Director and above)
• Manage competing priorities to complete both ad-hoc and strategic projects
• Seek opportunities to resolve defects and reduce cost
• Improve, scale, and simplify finance tools across teams and organizations
• Communicate financial insights (both written and verbal) in a clear and concise manner. Adapt communication based on intended audience to clearly articulate complex financial considerations.
• Promote a positive and collaborative culture.
