It’s Day 1 for Amazon’s next billion dollar business and we are seeking a skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join the Leo Marketing Finance team, playing a pivotal role in optimizing financial planning and analysis through embedded partnership with the business team. In this position, you will build comprehensive financial models, create scalable processes, and deliver impactful insights that drive optimized marketing outcomes for one of Amazon's largest investment areas. Your analysis will directly influence strategic decision-making at the highest levels. This exciting opportunity allows you to create foundational capabilities for a pre-launch business that will shape investment strategies within Leo Marketing. You'll partner closely with marketing leads to optimize budget allocation across large-scale campaigns and design processes to communicate results to Leo leadership. Key job responsibilities Design, build, and maintain comprehensive financial models that reflect marketing strategy and enable data-driven decision making. Partner with marketing stakeholders to analyze performance data, identify trends, and draft written recommendations to optimize Leo's return on marketing investments. Develop and implement scalable reporting mechanisms that provide visibility into key performance indicators and spending effectiveness for executive leadership. Lead the review and approval process for marketing spend requests, ensuring alignment with financial guardrails and business objectives. Proactively identify opportunities to improve financial processes, enhance data quality, and increase operational efficiency across the Leo Marketing organization. A day in the life Your day typically begins with reviewing the latest marketing spend and preparing for collaborative sessions with marketing leads. Throughout the day, you'll build and refine financial models that help optimize marketing spend allocations, run ad hoc analyses to answer critical business questions, and review spend requests from various teams. You'll toggle between detailed spreadsheet work, stakeholder meetings, and executive-level reporting. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science) - Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis - 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience - 3+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience - 3+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience - Experience working with stakeholders - Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Preferred Qualifications - 3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience - Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) - Fundamental knowledge of Marketing finance, ideally in a subscription-based business. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
