Our team provides strategic support to NA Stores CFO, CEO and senior leadership on planning, analysis, and reporting. As the central place the company looks to for an understanding of financial performance, we play a major role in driving business decisions. In this role, you will play a key role in processes essential to the heartbeat of Amazon Stores Finance, including operating plan cycles, quarterly guidance cycles, topline reporting, and developing best practices for NASF which have impact across the company. The Senior Finance Manager drives key projects and will be a key business partner to the business finance teams, Finance Operations, Accounting, and Tax. We are looking for an experienced finance professional who is adaptable, capable of exercising high judgment, making informed decisions and insists on the highest standards. Key job responsibilities 1) Key resource in planning cycles for NA Stores (OP1, OP2, Guidance, 3-Year Forecast); 2) Analyzing profitability performance of the NA Stores business, partnering with finance stakeholders across WWAS to deep dive variances and areas of risk and opportunity; 3) Communicating profitability results and insights to senior leaders in NAS and WWAS through bridging, commentary, and financial narratives. These deliverables include authoring NAS financial summaries and writing financial driver narratives for 3YF, Guidance and OP1/OP2 documents for WWAS Finance L10+ leadership; 4) Owning offline pro forma modelling exercises end-to-end; . 5) Leveraging Cognos/TM1, Apliqo, and other corporate financial systems to support deep dive analysis and results summarization in response to CFO/CEO needs; 6) Engage with business finance teams to support understanding and timeliness of financial deliverables; Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field - 12+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - 8+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience - 7+ years of directly managing and leading a team of 10+ members experience Preferred Qualifications - 5+ years of hiring, leading and developing teams experience - 8+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience - 8+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience - 8+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience - 5+ years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience - MBA, or CPA Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $137,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $227,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
