Senior Finance Manager, Global Inventory COE Transformantion
In this role, you will provide leadership and direction to Global Inventory COE for the Inventory transformation world for US, Europe and International (and others that might be added) and establish close relationship with other sub departments, other Global Inventory COE leaders and finance leaders to focus on migrating accounting, financial planning & reporting inventory and assets processes to the Inventory COE. The Senior Manager will manage the transition of legacy inventory and assets management systems and inventory/assets accounting processes over to the SAP solution and the COE model for existing SAP sites or any other ERP like JDE for International. In addition you will lead projects for business process improvements relating to inventory and possible other projects relating to merges, acquisitions and integrations. You will be reporting into a (Senior) Director. In this role there will be a few direct reports. **_What you will do:_** Responsibilities-Inventory/Assets Accounting system and process transition service delivery: + Highly specialized with deep expertise from a technical accounting and system thought leader for analyzing the need for changes, prepare testing, perform testing, implement new features/systems and play a key role is future designs for new systems in respect to inventory/assets related transactions. + Analyze data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions, including collect, compiling, verifying the inventory/assets accounting information so that senior management has accurate and timely information for making the strategic and operational decisions for implementations, design, go or no go-live, changes in process to align with system and qualitative and quantitative support. + Acting as Global Inventory COE point of contact for Accelerate/or other group and commercial divisions for upcoming ERP transitions to SAP and or JDE or any other system with focus on Europe and International (new entities can be added) + Partnering with Division / Group Business users with regular and ad-hoc planning tasks to ensure successful submission. + Local project management for business confirmation, test scenarios, data loads, cost rolls related to ERP go-live + Attend design change meetings with Accelerate IT and business partners to understand change impacts for the Inventory COE and organize and present them back to the COE + Lead pre-go-live transition work between commercial finance and Inventory COE including understand of impacted legacy processes and unique inventory accounting situations for transitioning Division + Lead Train the trainer, Data Loads, System testing, User Acceptance Testing, and other key project milestones with ERP team based on the deep expertise of the processes, accounting and systems + Builds positive relationships within COE as well as business partners in division finance, technical accounting, corporate finance, ERP finance and audit to effectively deliver ERP solution + Provides coaching and training to COE in areas of process and system change brought on by evolution of ERP solution Responsibilities process improvements/project management + Lead inventory/asset related projects duties based on the deep expertise on these topics, involving cross functional teams and focused on delivery of internal processes or administrative systems. Oversee the plans and direct schedules taking into consideration other dependencies and accounting requirements and deadlines. + Monitors project for improvements on accounting for inventory and assets and related processes where applicable, from initiating through delivery and interfacing with internal customers or departments. Ensure communication facilitates completion of the project. + Responsible in leading and executing process improvements relating to inventory to lead the project for investigation, actions needed, training, implementation and documentation. Process improvements could be UPI, revaluation, costing, E&O, or any other inventory related topics + Leading for the inventory part all mergers, acquisitions and integration projects, to make sure all inventory topics are covered for smooth integration + Leading all other related inventory projects outside our direct department, like 3PL implementations, hiring third parties for stock counts or other aspects. Management: + Responsible for the Global Inventory Business support team by setting direction, developing talent, and empowering their development to support the strategy for the Global Inventory COE + Build, manage and develop a team of accounting professionals, including business support skills, presenting or any other tools and systems + Set annual objectives, complete annual reviews, and have regular 1:1 with the teams across the globe, including with direct reports as well with indirect reports (if applicable) Additional responsibilities/projects + Special projects as Inventory COE expands into other areas **_What you will do:_** + Associate / Technical Degree or higher in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or other related field + Intermediate level of MS Office Suite + Fluent spoken and written English. + Experience on finance related systems, specifically SAP and Oracle and JDE + Inventory accounting and Asset accounting knowledge is a plus + At least 10+ years of relevant working experience in a finance function in National or Multinational company + Ability to interpret and analyze data accurately and efficiently. + Experience working with SAP FICO + Experience working with SAP BPC and/or Oracle HFM Planning applications and JDE + Strong ability to coordinate action across dispersed workforce and highly matrixed organization + Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management + Effective problem-solving skills + 5+ years of successful experience in a people management role and building a high performing team + Ability to create a highly energized environment of exceptional performance, shared accountability, and personnel excellence, with a commitment to coaching and developing others into leadership roles​​ Stryker is a global leader in medical technologies and, together with its customers, is driven to make healthcare better.
