The Single Use Division (SUD) is a $1.6 billion global business that promotes, sells, and delivers a wide range of flexible and bio rigid containment products and bioprocessing equipment to its primary customers worldwide.

Position Summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific's Single Use Division needs a Sr. Manager Finance (Site Finance Lead) to support Millersburg, PA Operations. Also responsible for oversight in Matamoros, Mexico and Miami, Oklahoma. Reporting to the Director, Finance Operations, engaging with various departments to guide decision making and drive operational improvements. This role includes managing 1 direct report.

What you will do:

Act as the financial delegate on the Millersburg Operations Leadership team and use financial knowledge to impact decision-makingProvide financial oversite and leadership to three sites within the SUD networkPartner with multiple functions to assess and strategize on network optimization to improve product and total business profitabilityManage the finance team leader at the Miami, OK site to expand the finance pipeline and impact the site's growthGuide and support team members in finance and on sites to strengthen financial foresight and leadership skillsDrive annual operating plan (AOP) process with the operations team to develop a site budget with efficiency and costs targetsReview monthly manufacturing variances to assess site performance, and clearly communicate drivers of performance through business reviews.Provide finance support and oversight for supplemental metrics such as efficiency, leakage, inventory, E&O, backorder, etcPerform financial evaluation of capital expenditures to ensure profitable business decisionsIdentify and provide suggestions to enhance business processes and reporting for enhanced financial performanceProactively lead analytics to drive margin expansion.Offer expertise in building financial strategy in partnership with the Site LeadersPartner with cost accounting and global accounting teams to ensure compliance and optimized processes

Education:

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field

Experience:

8+ years related work experience2+ years of experience in Manufacturing Finance or Cost Accounting roles preferredPrior experience in a large global and highly matrixed organization, preferably within manufacturing or supply chain

Ability to address sophisticated problems with tact and resolveOrganized multitasker: workload prioritization, able to meet tight deadlines while achieving results, especially in a fast-paced, high-growth environmentLeader and mentor to both junior financial professionals as well as colleagues in other fieldsConsistent track record to simplify and streamline finance processesHighly analytical with strong business insightProficient verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated understanding of Excel (i.e., financial models and analysis), enterprise-wide ERP systems (M2M, Oracle R12), Hyperion Planning is a plus

The salary pay range estimated for this position is $118,500 to $150,000
