Job Description Summary

This role is responsible for business partnering and delivering financial analysis and reporting for the Australian business.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Performance Reporting

Deliver accurate and timely monthly/quarterly reporting with insights on performance, variances, key risks, and opportunities

Provide analytics on business transactions (e.g., revenue recognition, cost accruals, marketing activities) and their impact on service line margins

Drive continuous improvement by enhancing management information quality and budgeting/forecasting processes

Develop and maintain financial models to support scenario analysis and long-range planning

Business Partnering

Provide operational stakeholders with financial data and analysis to support effective decision-making and margin delivery

Assist in forecasting cycles and support business leaders throughout the process

Collaborate on the Annual Operating Plan to align business targets with Australia’s growth strategy

Contribute to the development of the Long Range Plan (5-year strategy)

Systems Knowledge

Serve as an expert on financial reporting systems and their interconnectivity

Create and maintain data models using Essbase, Adaptive, Excel, Power BI, and Power Apps

Support data management and maintenance across JDE, Hyperion, and Workday

Lead system and process enhancements to maximize effectiveness and efficiency

Other Responsibilities

Perform duties assigned by the direct manager

Contribute to ad hoc projects and implementations

Provide support during peak periods and leave cover

Develop operational standards, playbooks, and manuals

Work extended hours occasionally during peak times

Background & Experience

6 - 9 years of experience in FP&A or related finance roles

Strong commercial and financial acumen

Proven ability in budgeting and forecasting

Effective communication with finance and non-finance stakeholders

Skilled in analyzing complex, high-volume data with attention to detail

Experience in implementing innovative analytical and reporting solutions

Ability to inspire and influence others

Self-driven, adaptable, and results-oriented team player

Experience in large, listed organizations

Qualifications & Technical Skills

CA or CPA qualified

Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities

Ability to combine data with strategic and financial insights

Contract Type: Fixed-term (Maternity Leave Cover)

Duration: 13 months, with potential extension up to 18 months

Location: Sydney, Australia
