Senior FileNet Developer
Position Description:

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at a Client office at a minimum 2 days per week - subject to change at any time. 

We are looking for an experienced Senior FileNet Developer with strong hands-on expertise in IBM FileNet technologies. The ideal candidate will design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise content and case management solutions using FileNet CPE, ICM, ICN, and related integrations. This role requires strong technical depth, problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality code in a complex, regulated environment.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

FileNet Development
• Design, develop, and enhance applications using IBM FileNet CPE, FileNet Object Store, ICM, and ICN.
• Build and maintain custom components using FileNet CE/PE Java APIs.
• Develop workflows, metadata models, document classes, and case structures.
• Implement document lifecycle configurations, security models, and event actions.
Integration & Modernization
• Build integrations using REST APIs, Java APIs, and modern integration patterns.
• Support modernization activities including enhancements, refactoring, and preparing components for cloud readiness.
• Implement intelligent document processing, classification rules, and automation where applicable.
Technical Delivery
• Analyze requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Troubleshoot performance and functional issues across FileNet components.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with QA, infrastructure, and platform teams to support deployments and production stability.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 8+ years of hands-on development experience with:
o IBM FileNet Content Platform Engine (CPE)
o IBM FileNet Object Store
o IBM FileNet Case Manager (ICM)
o IBM Content Navigator (ICN)
o FileNet CE/PE Java APIs
• Strong experience with:
o Java/J2EE development
o REST API integrations
o Workflow design and case management solutions
o Permissions, roles, and document security models
• Experience working in enterprise, regulated, or financial services environments.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.

Nice-to-Have
• Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift).
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture or message brokers (e.g., Kafka).
• Experience with intelligent document processing or automation tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.


**CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000–$130,000. This role is an existing vacancy.**
