Xylem is seeking a **Senior Field Service Technician** to perform advanced field service activities at customer sites in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. This role involves working on complex, multi-system technologies, including mechanical, electrical, and diesel-powered equipment. The technician will conduct proactive troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, parts inventory management, and resolve safety issues across company- and customer-owned systems. This is a field-based position with direct customer interaction and may require support across multiple sites, technologies, or client accounts.

**Key Responsibilities**
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
+ Create and maintain a safe working environment and safety-first culture
+ Ensure proper use and care of company tools, vehicles, and property
+ Demonstrate a high-impact culture through innovation, accountability, and ownership
+ Perform advanced troubleshooting and maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and diesel systems
+ Represent Xylem professionally while interacting with customers
+ Work both independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision
+ Lead and mentor junior technicians in the field
+ Support field operations across multiple customer locations or technologies
**Qualifications & Skills**
+ High school diploma or equivalent required
+ 3–7 years of relevant technical field experience preferred (industrial or commercial environments)
+ Experience with mechanical, electrical, diesel, or fusion systems required
+ Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and technical repair skills
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a CDL Class A or B with applicable endorsements
+ DOT Medical Card and clean driving record required
+ Ability to meet all customer access requirements (e.g., TWIC, DISA)
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office and smart mobile devices
+ Excellent communication and customer service skills
+ Capable of working under pressure and solving problems in the field without supervision
+ Comfortable coaching junior technicians and providing on-the-job training
+ Preferred: technical military background, technical certifications, or industry-specific licenses
**Compensation & Benefits**
The estimated salary range for this position is **$28 to $32** per hour. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location.
