We are seeking an experienced and self-driven Senior Field Application Engineer (FAE) to join a fast-growing, innovation-driven processor design company focused on delivering cutting-edge RISC-V-based solutions. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role ideal for professionals who thrive at the intersection of technical depth and strategic client engagement.
As a Senior FAE, you will be a key technical interface between internal product teams and external semiconductor clients, responsible for guiding customers through the successful integration of custom IPs into their SoCs. You will take full ownership of post-sales technical delivery, play a critical role in customer enablement, and help expand the company’s footprint through strong technical advocacy.
Key Responsibilities
???? Solution Architecture & Technical EnablementMaster the company’s core generation methodology and support customers in integrating custom RISC-V core IPs into their SoCs.
Lead technical discussions with customer architects, design leads, and CTOs to align solutions with business and engineering goals.
Create technical documentation, including application notes, proof-of-concepts, and demo setups tailored to customer use cases.
Identify opportunities to deepen product usage within customer roadmaps and advise on best practices.
???? Integration & DeliveryOwn the technical delivery of IPs post-sale, ensuring smooth integration into customer designs.
Lead validation, debugging, and performance tuning efforts on simulation platforms and real hardware.
Develop and maintain scripts, sample code, and automation flows to enhance the customer integration experience.
Manage technical escalations efficiently by collaborating with internal engineering teams and ensuring timely resolution.
???? Customer Success & Relationship ManagementServe as the senior technical point-of-contact for key global customer accounts.
Mentor junior FAEs and help establish internal standards and playbooks for customer engagements.
Collaborate closely with sales and product teams to relay customer feedback into actionable product roadmap features.
???? Internal Advocacy & Process ImprovementCapture key learnings from engagements and use them to refine customer success strategies.
Support pre-sales initiatives by contributing to technical evaluations and product presentations.
Identify and address recurring issues through tooling improvements and process automation.
Requirements
Strong understanding of SoC architecture, RTL design, and IP integration flows.
Proficiency with Linux, shell scripting, and Python; experience with Embedded C is a plus.
Hands-on experience with simulation tools, debugging utilities, and waveform viewers.
Familiarity with RISC-V ISA and associated toolchains is preferred.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
Ability to handle high-pressure customer escalations with composure and professionalism.
Eligibility Criteria3–5 years of relevant experience in Field Applications, Pre-Sales, or Customer Engineering roles within the semiconductor or EDA domains.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics and Communication (ECE), Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Science (CS) or a related technical field.
Demonstrated interest in processor IP, SoC design, or RISC-V architecture is highly desirable.
