What this job involves

What your day-to-day will look like

Develop and implement comprehensive facilities management strategies aligned with organizational objectivesManage all facility-related operations including maintenance, security, cleaning, and building systemsLead and develop a team of facilities staff and coordinate with service providersCreate and oversee preventative maintenance programs to extend asset life and minimize downtimeManage capital improvement projects from planning through completionDevelop and monitor facilities budgets, controlling costs while maintaining service standardsEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulationsNegotiate and manage vendor contracts for services and suppliesImplement and monitor sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impactRespond to emergency situations and develop business continuity plans

Desired or preferred experience and technical skills

Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration or related fieldMinimum 10 years of relevant experience in facility management with 6 years in managerial levelDemonstrated leadership skills and experience managing teamsStrong understanding of building systems, maintenance requirements, and operational best practicesKnowledge of relevant regulations including health and safety standardsExperience with facilities management software and computerized maintenance management systemsExcellent project management, budgeting, and financial analysis skillsStrong communication and stakeholder management abilities

Required Skills, License and Experience

Hold a PMP Tier 1 LicenceExperience managing multiple properties or large complex facilitiesKnowledge of sustainability practices and green building operationsExperience with space planning and workplace strategy implementationExperience in manage and take up a new building is preferable
