You would be overseeing the creation and development of multiple shows a week. WBRE/WYOU has its own digital studio with multiple cameras tapped into an OBS system. You must be able to lead, mentor and train producers and content creators on an OBS system and have a creative mind to bring original digital programming to life.
The Senior Executive Producer of News & Streaming is a crucial member of the News Management team as we evolve our product in a rapidly changing digital environment.
Assist the News Director with management of the news department with emphasis on streaming contentAssist with planning, staffing, training and performance evaluations.Consults on decisions regarding hiring, evaluations, promotions and termination of employeesDevelops news coverage and content strategy for the station streaming contentCritiques streaming programs daily to correct errors, improve coverage and provide mentoring feedback to staffAssigns projects to staff and verifies that deadlines are being metEnsure achievement of streaming KPI goalsDetermines programming and evaluation of equipment needs to produce quality programmingResponds to coverage questionsServes as the News Director in his/her absencePerforms other duties as assignedRequirements & Skills:
Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experienceFluency in EnglishExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenPrefer experience in a news leadership roleAbility to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to effectively listen and fully understand employee needs and communicate with a team to shape a solution#LI-Onsite
