About this RolePAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead the development of accurate, competitive, and strategic cost estimates for complex electrical construction projects. This role plays a critical part in supporting business growth by evaluating project opportunities, identifying risks, and building pricing strategies that align with operational capabilities and customer requirements. The Senior Estimator partners closely with operations, project management, procurement, and leadership to help position projects for successful execution.
What You'll Do Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates, proposals, and bid packages for electrical construction projectsReview drawings, specifications, schedules, and other bid documents to develop complete and accurate pricingAnalyze labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and indirect cost requirementsSolicit, review, and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations for completeness and competitivenessIdentify scope gaps, design conflicts, and project risks and incorporate them into estimate strategyParticipate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and internal estimate review discussionsCollaborate with operations and project teams to align estimate assumptions with execution plansPrepare conceptual, budgetary, and hard bid estimates for a range of project opportunitiesDevelop value engineering ideas and alternative approaches to improve competitiveness and project outcomesSupport proposal development, clarifications, and post-bid negotiations as neededMaintain estimating documentation, historical cost data, and reporting tools to support continuous improvementMentor junior estimators and contribute to estimating standards, processes, and best practices What You'll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred7+ years of estimating experience in electrical construction, utility, industrial, or infrastructure projectsStrong ability to interpret plans, specifications, and contract documentsDemonstrated experience developing detailed estimates for large or complex projectsKnowledge of labor productivity, material pricing, equipment costs, and subcontractor marketsUnderstanding of construction means and methods, project sequencing, and risk evaluationStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and bid management toolsCollaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external partnersHigh attention to detail and sound judgment in evaluating project scope and pricing strategy What You'll GetPAR offers a comprehensive benefits package including:
