Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a **Senior Estimating Team Lead** to join our team in **Berkeley, Missouri.** As a **Senior Estimating Team Lead** , you will be responsible for leading the team in the development of estimates (labor, material, travel, etc.) and cost/price proposals for new business activities. Phantom Works is Boeing Defense, Space and Security’s (BDS) sophisticated research and development organization that is responsible for engaging customers through groundbreaking visual modeling and simulation; innovating cross-cutting concepts and technologies; prototyping solutions to extend current products and win new programs; and developing new businesses and entering new markets.
**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Leads development of complex estimates and prices from complex technical requirements through the design, build, and support stages of the program
+ Leads development, and application of complex estimating, and pricing strategies using innovative computational techniques
+ Guides business proposals, evaluates, and makes recommendations based on complex or unique requests for proposals, and substantiates estimates, and pricing
+ Leads and performs complex analyses, and provides recommendations in support of pricing, and estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.)
+ Coordinates and collaborates with proposal teams, and cost element functional owners to develop appropriate basis of estimate, and substantiation of cost estimates, proposals, and other related business decision data
+ Provides fact-finding, negotiation and audit support of cost proposal artifacts, and coordinate responses through proposal teams
+ Supports, prepares, and briefs senior leader-level presentations
+ Identifies, assesses and implements changes to processes, tools, and techniques to simplify estimating, and pricing methodologies, and improve cost estimating accuracy
**This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.**
**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):**
+ Bachelor's Degree ‘s or higher
+ 2+ years of experience in a business-related role
+ 3+ years of experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets
**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):**
+ Knowledge of United States Government Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
+ Experience using data analysis to drive decision making
+ Experience with critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
+ Experience working in multifaceted and diverse teams across multiple functions
+ Experience leading projects with little direct supervision and drive project to completion
+ Ability to work under tight deadlines with competing priorities

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $106,250 – $143,750
