Job DescriptionAECOM has an immediate opportunity available for a Senior Engineering Geologist for employment in Panama City, Panama.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Undertaking geotechnical investigations including:Logging and characterizing the engineering properties of foundation and embankment materials.Geological mappingOverseeing laboratory testing programsData collation, geological characterization, analysis and reportingAssisting in the preparation of project documentation including reports, project communications, and design drawings and report figures that are of a high professional standardCollaborating with geotechnical and structural engineers to develop robust dam designs.Assisting in the preparation of project documentation including reports, project communications, and design drawings and report figures that are of a high professional standard.Assisting with proposals.Performing geological mapping during construction of a dam foundation.QualificationsMinimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field + 10 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationRelevant experience with Dam projects including inspection, rehabilitation and/or new design and construction.Experience in performing inspection, design, and/or engineering activities in dams or water retaining structuresBilingual – English and SpanishAdditional InformationPreferred Qualifications
15 years or more experience including relevant experience with Dam projects including inspection, rehabilitation and/or new design and construction.Excellent interpersonal skills, staff supervision, strong negotiation skills and conflict resolution abilitiesExcellent written communications and presentation abilities in internal project settings with the project team, external project stakeholders, and leadership.About AECOM
