Whether through research and development, technology innovation or solution engineering, our team members play vital roles in connecting consumers with the products and platforms of tomorrow. **Job Duties and Responsibilities** Our team is currently seeking an experienced and self-driven Software Engineer to help us develop cloud-native backend services for our large and growing customer base within the Commercial backend team. We are focused on providing robust functional support to all services on our platform, continuously adapting to new requirements and capabilities. This role is ideal for an engineer enthusiastic about learning, developing, and delivering distributed software systems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. While we primarily use Go and React, we are open to training the right candidate with a strong technical aptitude and a passion for growth. **Key Responsibilities:** + Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native web services that are highly scalable and highly available, capable of processing millions of transactions per day + Work collaboratively within an agile team, adhering to CI/CD best practices to deliver high-quality software efficiently + Convert ideas into working products through high-quality, production-ready code + Build and manage both internally consumed and externalized microservices-based applications + Actively participate in experimentation, testing, and learning from failures to find innovative solutions to complex problems + Continuously improve your skills and contribute to the growth of those around you with a "can-do anything" mentality **Skills, Experience and Requirements** **Education and Experience:** + A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field + 5+ years of professional development experience **Skills and Qualifications:** + Hands-on experience in at least one of the following programming languages: Go, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript + Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and pattern-based enterprise development + Experience in building and maintaining highly-available applications and services, preferably on a cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, or other hybrid cloud environments) + Proven experience in working with distributed systems and building/maintaining highly-available applications and services + Experience with one or more NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, Postgres, Couchbase) + A strong desire to learn new things and continually improve + Excellent communication skills + Experience working in an Agile environment and the ability to adapt to evolving projects while maintaining focus on requirements and the overall vision **Preferred Skills and Qualifications:** + Familiarity with Cloud Native tools - Docker, Kubernetes, Gitlab, building Cloud Native Applications, Consul, Vault + Messaging system such as Kafka/RabbitMQ + Scripting ability (Bash / Shell, Python etc) + Familiarity with SRE tools: Dynatrace, New Relic, DataDog, Kibana, ELK **_Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person on-site interview._** **Salary Ranges** Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $137,500.00/Year **Benefits** We offer versatile health perks, including flexible spending accounts, HSA, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, career opportunities, and a flexible time away plan.
