Job DescriptionLead and manage the delivery of electrical design packages across rail infrastructure projectsDesign of Rail Stations M&E, Rail Lineside M&E Low voltage systems including but not limited to Platform Lighting, LV Power Distribution, Points Heating, and Signalling PowerAct as Lead Engineer or Contractor’s Responsible Engineer (CRE), checker ensuring compliance with client requirements, industry standards and safety regulations. Prepare key elements of design deliverables including technical reports, electrical calculations, lighting calculations and CAD drawings in industry standard softwareProvide technical and commercial oversight, including design planning, risk management and quality assurance. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and constructible design solutionsEnsure designs comply with all relevant regulations, including CDM and Health & Safety legislation. Familiarity with the full project lifecycle – from feasibility and concept design through to detailed design and construction supportEnsure designs comply with all relevant regulations, including CDM and Health & Safety legislation. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a wider delivery teamExperienced in the use of international, UK Network Rail, and Railway Group Standards as well as the relevant British Standards and Eurocodes.QualificationsMaster of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university. Chartered/ Incorporated Engineer (or actively working towards chartership) with a recognised institution (e.g. IET) or Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent in the relevant field from any global organization5 - 10+ years of experience in railway Electrification & Power design and deliveryExperience in leading projects as a checker, CRE or Lead EngineerDeep knowledge of Rail low voltage systems, particularly Lighting, Points Heating, and Signalling PowerProficient in use of MicroStation, ETAP, AMETECH Trimble Pro Design, Electrical OM and DiaLux EvoStrong technical writing, Excellent communication, coordination and stakeholder engagement skillsA collaborative and proactive mindset with the ability to lead, mentor and influence othersAdditional InformationAt AECOM, you will have freedom to grow in a world of opportunity
