Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer - Planning to join our dynamic team in Doha, Qatar. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing planning processes for major roads, infrastructure, and bridge projects in the region.

Develop and maintain comprehensive Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for complex infrastructure projectsConduct detailed cost and schedule variance analyses to ensure project efficiency and financial performanceImplement and manage Earned Value Management (EVMS) systems to track project progress and performancePerform Time Impact Analysis to assess and mitigate potential schedule delaysAnalyze project financial data and identify potential impacts on project outcomesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to align project goals, timelines, and resourcesDevelop and maintain project baselines using drawings and specificationsLead the collection and analysis of progress data, reviewing performance trends to support decision-makingOversee the tracking of purchase orders, subcontract commitments, and expendituresSpearhead the project reporting process and participate in high-level project cost review meetingsContribute to the development and improvement of planning processes and toolsEnsure compliance with local construction regulations and standards in Qatar

QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction ManagementMinimum of 12+ years of experience in Planning / Project Controls field, with a focus on major transport programsAdvanced knowledge of ORACLE Primavera P6 Project Management SoftwareExpertise in Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Earned Value Management (EVMS), and cost/schedule variance analysisProficiency in Time Impact Analysis techniques and project management methodologiesDemonstrated experience in roads, infrastructure, and bridge projectsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approachExcellent communication and leadership abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsIn-depth knowledge of local construction regulations and standards in QatarAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing project requirementsStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyProficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
