Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Engineer - Marine Structural to support the design and assessment of coastal and offshore infrastructure, including wharves, jetties, caissons, breakwaters, and floating structures. This role will focus on structural design under complex loading conditions—wave, current, berthing, seismic—and will require coordination with geotechnical, coastal, and marine disciplines.

Here is what you will do:

Lead structural design of marine infrastructure using relevant codes (e.g. BS, Eurocode, API, PIANC)Perform static and dynamic structural analysis, including wave and berthing impact loadsEvaluate corrosion protection, fatigue performance, and structural detailing for marine environmentsCoordinate with geotechnical engineers on foundation design (piles, caissons, gravity structures)Prepare design reports, specifications, and construction documentationSupport tendering, fabrication review, and site construction queriesDevelop and implement quality assurance procedures for marine structural designsMentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on complex marine projectsCollaborate with environmental specialists to ensure designs meet sustainability requirementsConduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for marine structuresParticipate in client meetings and present technical solutionsStay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in marine structural engineering

Here’s what we’re looking for:

At least 10 years’ experience post obtaining qualification. Professionally registered with ECSA as Pr.Eng. for at least 3 years. 

QualificationsDegree in Civil Engineering (Structural), preferably M.Eng or MSc.Eng.
