AECOM’s **Enterprise Capabilities** team is looking for a **Senior Specialist in CFD (Hydraulics & Drainage)** to join our team in Madrid.

**Job Description**
We are currently recruiting a **Senior CFD Specialist** with extensive experience in fluid dynamics simulations to join our busy and expanding experienced team. The team provides assessment, concept, feasibility, preliminary and detailed designs on a wide range of projects. Our clients work for private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors. Our group has an established track record of successfully delivering water designs for many years, throughout the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand among others. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation and Water projects, being part of a diverse and multicultural team for Enterprise Capabilities.
**Here is what you will do:**
+ Works as part of the H&D team with other engineers at the same functional level that can be from different EC offices. Undertakes non-routine, medium complex projects employing advanced CFD simulations.
+ Coordinate and lead small design teams focusing on CFD applications, ensuring innovative simulation solutions for a variety of projects.
+ Conducts complex value engineering evaluations, determining alternative designs, materials, construction techniques.
+ Exercise significant autonomy within established procedures while determining priorities in fluid dynamics modeling workloads.
+ Performs QA/QC review and participates in interdisciplinary reviews.
+ Ensure that key technical goals, milestones, and project budgets are met by aligning CFD deliverables with overall project objectives.
+ Prepare high-quality project deliverables while mentoring junior engineers in CFD methodologies and simulation best practices.
**Qualifications**
**Here's what we're looking for:**
+ A strong proven track record in CFD modeling of water infrastructure systems, including simulation experience on spillways, intakes, water tanks, pump intakes, and other hydraulic structures using advanced computational fluid dynamics software (e.g., Flow3D, ANSYS Fluent, etc.) with at least 8 years of hands-on experience.
+ Extensive experience with CFD-specific tools and post-processing software to perform simulations, analysis, and visualization.
+ Familiarity with international regulations and standards relevant to CFD applications, ensuring designs meet global compliance and quality benchmarks.
+ Ability to integrate CFD solutions with other engineering disciplines and digital engineering techniques (e.g., CAD/BIM) to enhance overall project outcomes.
+ Prior experience working with North American or Australian projects is considered favorably.
+ Proficiency in English, both oral and written.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Bachelor or Master degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related field with a focus on Computational Fluid Dynamics.
